Double the Donation provides technology and tools to nonprofits looking to increase revenue through matching gifts. 4aGoodCause and Double the Donation have teamed up to help your online donors acquire matching gifts from their employers.   

How it Works

4aGoodCause clients can integrate Double the Donation’s search tool directly on their donation pages. When you integrate Double the Donation with 4aGoodCause donors will be prompted on your donation pages to "See if your employer will match your donation".

Donors can look up their employers through this field and are presented with company-specific matching gift information right after donating.  4aGoodCause will post the donation and matching company to your Double the Donation account so Double the Donation can begin the process of tracking a matching gift from the donor's employer to your nonprofit. 

Why Matching Gifts Matter

Though $2 to $3 billion is donated through matching gift programs every year, only about 1 in 10 eligible donors match their donations.

Every year, about $6 to $10 billion of matched donations is left unclaimed. Since many companies may match up to $10,000 for every donation, the revenue adds up quickly.

Raise awareness and make it easy for your donors to submit matching gifts using this integration.

How to get started

To enable the matching gift tool in 4aGoodCause you'll first need a valid API Key from Double the Donation.

Already a Double the Donation client? Follow these steps to find your API Key. 

In your Double the Donation Account you can access your API Keys by going to Settings --> API Keys. 

Copy the 360MatchPro Public Key. That is the Key you'll plug into 4aGoodCause.

How to enable the plugin in 4aGoodCause

Once you have your API Key follow these steps to turn on Double the Donation in your 4aGoodCause account. 

  1. Login to https://4agc.com as a Nonprofit User.
  2. Click on Settings on the left menu.
  3. Click on Integrations on the left menu.
  4. Click the Double the Donations logo.
  5. Check the box to Enable the Double the Donations matching gift plugin
  6. Enter your API Key in the text box provided. It is 16 characters long. It is recommended you copy and paste the key into the box to avoid errors. Only valid keys given to you by 4aGoodCause or Double the Donation will properly enable the tool.   
  7. Click Save Key. 

Your donors will now be presented with the opportunity to input their employer for a possible matching gift across all your donation page campaigns.

How to disable the integration

Should you desire to disable this integration, follow the steps below.
  1. Login to https://4agc.com as a Nonprofit User.
  2. Click on Settings on the left menu.
  3. Click on Integrations on the left menu.
  4. Click the Double the Donation logo.
  5. Uncheck the Enable Double the Donations Matching Gift Plugin box
  6. Click Save Key.
